Magnesium, the material of the future

Therefore RAUCH took the step in 1994 to engineer and build the first serial produced melting and dosing magnesium furnace, which subsequently led to the development of a fully integrated system for the safe handling of magnesium from its solid state through all its stages until becoming a cast product. All this developments ensured that magnesium could be worked with in large quantities, in a safe environment and delivering a constant quality.

Nowadays, the system created by RAUCH includes melting and dosing furnaces, liquid metal transport systems, recycling units, alloying systems, DC casting installations, strip casting, protective gas mixing and metering units, ingot pre-heating and management systems...

A further strength of RAUCH lays in its ability to accomplish customer specific projects.

The worldwide assistance of our customers is done by a flexible and experienced after sales team.

The above described development has positioned RAUCH as the worldwide market leader in engineering and manufacturing of magnesium processing units.

Through our customised engineering we are able to offer a constant and proactive assistance

The planning ranges from the general concept with 3-D layouts and the subsequent

detailed offers, including ROI calculations.

Thanks to its vast experience RAUCH is in a position to assist the customer in their own

budgeting, process engineering and maintenance planning

Zinc, the material for high pressure die casting.

Zinc its known for its advantages such as low casting temperature, longer tooling life time and

machinability.

RAUCH did position itself as a leading company in this area from 1986 onwards thanks to the

development of an in-house, indirectly heated re-melting system, which led to a significant cost

reduction in the handling of zinc.
