The RAUCH Top Blown Rotary Converter TBRC is a highly developed system for recycling steel scrap and other metal-containing residual materials. By using a rotating and tiltable reaction vessel, the device can heat residual materials to over 1300 °C using an oxygen burner. This enables the effective separation and recovery of valuable metals such as zinc, lead and copper.
- Rotating and tiltable reaction vessel: Allows uniform heating and processing of the residual materials
- Heating to over 1300 °C: By using an oxygen burner, the residual materials are brought to high temperatures to optimize metal separation.
- Focus on material recovery: Specially developed for the efficient recycling of dust from the steel industry, which can contain up to 40% zinc, compared to around 4% zinc content in zinc ores.
APPLICATION:
- Recycling of steel mill dust
- Evaluation of pyrometallurgical processes
- Efficient recycling of metal residues
The Top Blown Rotary Converter is an indispensable tool for research and development in metallurgy and contributes to the sustainable and energy-efficient recycling of valuable raw materials.
