The IMA Award 2025 in the category “Health & Safety” was awarded to RAUCH Furnace Technology GmbH. The award was presented during the 82nd IMA World Magnesium Conference, which was held in Salzburg for the first time.
With this international recognition, the International Magnesium Association (IMA) honors our commitment to the safe and sustainable use of protective gases in magnesium processing. The awarded project combines industry-oriented research with application-focused implementation and achieves several positive effects:
- a significant improvement in occupational safety when handling protective gases,
- compliance with – and even falling below – legal exposure limits in production environments,
- substitution of climate-damaging gases such as SF₆, resulting in a CO₂ reduction potential of up to 273,000 metric tons per year.
The award underscores our commitment to combining technological innovation with responsibility—for sustainable processes, safe working conditions, and future-oriented foundry technology:
“At RAUCH, responsibility, research, and practical application go hand in hand.”
We would like to thank the International Magnesium Association for this special recognition on an international stage.
